Thappana

This film is based on the work of the famous Bengali novelist and poet Ashapurna Debi who won Jnanapeet Award in 1976. The film Thappana was directed by Johny Antony. Mammootty along with Charmy Kaur and Murali Gopi plays a lead role in the film. The film tells us the story of two convicts who were released on the same day named Samsom(Mammootty) and Mallika(Charmy Kour). The movie was declared as a grant hit. The film Thappana starred by Mammootty was super hit with its comic entertaining plot and serious story with perfect vision. The film says the story of a village lady, came from jail punishment who killed a man tried to attack her husband. When she back to her village after the punishment period, an accident occurred near jail premises coins with Mammootty who was also leaving the jail.

Randamoozham

The film Randamoozham is considered to be the super duper in the malayalam film history. Mohanlal is characterizing as Bheeman where as Mammootty and Kamal Hassan making special appearance in it. Mammootty will  be playing the don character as Karnan and Kamal as Duryodan. Gokulam Gopalan again coming with his mark of excellence in the field of film direction with this film. The film was based on the script which was made by M.T Vasudevan Nair.

Pappayude Swantham Appoos

Pappayude Swantham Appoos was a nice work done in 1992 which was written by Fazil in which Mammootty was taking over the major role. Co-actors were Badush, Suresh Gopi and Shobana. Music for the film was composed by Illayaraja. The movie ran for around 165 days in theatres. The story was centered around the feelings of a depressed father who was sad due to his wife's death and his neglected son. Mammootty was entitled as Balachandran was tired and was unable to relieve after the shock of his wife's death. During this he used to neglect his only son Appu. Meenakshi Balachandran's neighbor used to take care of the child when he is back after the school vacations. Balachandran was unable to take care of his son due to his work. The child was depressed due to his father's neglecting mentality. Soon Meenakshi's brother forced her to come to home because he don't like her to stay with Balachandran. Due to this Balachandran and Appu have had a strong argument on returning back Meenakshi on which Balachandran hits him. This hurts the child a lot. Balachandran realizes his mistake and promises him to bring her back. The film is created on a good aspect of human relationships. The film has a good emotional level and good piece of characterization. The film was a super hit in all-the-way around.
